KIPKAREN COMMUNITY

Kipkaren is a very special community to Mtoto International. Over the past serveral years Mtoto has provided neighborhood youth with hygiene services and discipleship through partnering local church. The Kipkaren community faces many challenges yet the people are strong and resilient. Local children dream for a better future while their parents struggle to provide them with everyday necessities. One of those necessities is clean water.

WATER SCARCITY

Kipkaren harvests rain water that is caught on top of the tin roof at the local church in large containers. When there is no rain, other water sources are relied upon resulting in children having to journey far and beyond in order to bring water to their homes. When there is a lack of rain the local church is affected in several ways. Some of those ways are the ability to provide and mix juice (water and flavoring) for the local children, preparing snacks, supplying water for general sanitary purposes as well as meeting church needs. In a sense, water is life. There’s so much you can do with it and without it there’s lack of health, strength, growth and vitality. This is an ongoing problem that is in desperate need of attention.

LIVING WATER PROJECT

With the Living Water Project we aim to win hearts for Christ while impacting the community on a socioeconomic level. Being a water source will help the entire community and the water scarcity problems they’re experiencing on multiple fronts. Safe, clean water whereby families can have immediate access to for their homes will help ensure children don’t have to travel far saving time and energy while servicing safety concerns. When you partner with Mtoto International for the Living Water Project, you are helping to build a sustainable water source that will impact generations to come and leave a legacy that will be remembered for a lifetime. This water project will serve as a reminder that Christ came to give the abundant life and is the only source that can satisfy a thirsty soul.

WE BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION. A VITAL PART OF OUR MINISTRY IS PROVIDING THE NECESSARY school supplies for children TO BE ABLE TO PURSUE AN EDUCATION.
